Bear Box Moving Co – Renter Agreement & Policies

Koreatown, Los Angeles

Please read this agreement carefully. By renting bins from Bear Box Moving Co, you agree to the terms below.

1. Rental Terms

  • Bins: Sterilite Industrial heavy-duty plastic totes (black with yellow lids).
    • Standard 27-Gallon Bin: 30½" L × 20⅝" W × 15¼" H
    • Large Industrial Crate: Extra capacity for bulky items
  • Weekly rates:
    • Standard Bin: $6.00 per week
    • Large Crate: $9.00 per week
  • Refundable deposit:
    • $15 per Standard Bin
    • $25 per Large Crate
  • Minimum rental: 1 week (billed in weekly increments)
  • Full Fleet Bundle (all 5 bins – our current entire inventory): 4 Standard + 1 Large for 2 weeks = $198 (includes free delivery & pickup in Koreatown)

2. Delivery & Pickup (Koreatown Zone Only)

  • Standard round-trip delivery & pickup: $40
  • Free round-trip delivery & pickup on the Full Fleet Bundle (Koreatown only)
  • Delivery window: 24–48 hours after booking
  • You must be present or have someone available to accept the bins at delivery and be ready for pickup on the scheduled date.

3. Condition Upon Return

You must return all bins in clean, good condition (normal wear and tear from normal use is acceptable).

Bins must be:

  • Completely empty
  • Free of all items, debris, dirt, hair, liquid, spills, or odors
  • No stickers, tape, adhesive residue, or labels of any kind (this is a hard requirement)
  • Not cracked, broken, or structurally damaged

4. Damage, Loss, Theft & Responsibility

You have full care, custody, and control of the bins from the moment they are delivered until we pick them up.

You are responsible for any:

  • Loss
  • Theft
  • Damage (beyond normal wear and tear)
  • Misplacement

Replacement costs (charged if a bin is not returned or is damaged beyond repair):

  • Standard 27-Gal Bin: $35 each
  • Large Crate: $50

If a bin is damaged but repairable, you will be charged the actual repair cost (minimum $10 per bin).

5. Cleaning Fee

If bins are returned dirty, with residue, stickers, spills, or requiring extra cleaning:

  • Cleaning fee: $12 per bin

We will inspect every bin upon return. Photos are taken at delivery and pickup for your protection.

6. Late Fees & Extensions

  • Extensions must be requested before the scheduled pickup date.
  • Late fee: $2 per bin per day after the agreed pickup date.
  • If you do not respond to pickup scheduling, late fees begin automatically.

7. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations 24+ hours before scheduled delivery: Full refund (minus any card fees).
  • Cancellations less than 24 hours before delivery: $20 cancellation fee.
  • No-shows on delivery or pickup day: Full delivery fee + possible restocking fee.

8. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Use bins for hazardous materials, chemicals, food waste, or anything that causes permanent odor/stains
  • Store bins outdoors uncovered or in extreme weather without protection
  • Modify, drill, or permanently alter the bins

9. Liability

Bear Box Moving Co is not responsible for any damage to or loss of your personal belongings inside the bins. You assume all risk for your own items.

10. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes will be handled in Los Angeles County courts.

By renting from Bear Box Moving Co you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all terms above.
